Kristy Snedden, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Kristy Snedden is a licensed clinical social worker with a full-time private practice in Cornelia, Georgia. She earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Georgia in 1983 and her Accreditation in Clinical Social Work from the National Association of Social Workers in 1985. She has been fully licensed by the state of Georgia since 1989. Kristy has provided psychotherapy services to children, teens, and adults for over forty years. She specializes in healing trauma, including developmental and attachment trauma. She is certified in Brainspotting™, is a consultant for Brainspotting, Inc. and she holds an endorsement as a consultant for Brainspotting Children and Adolescents. Kristy has training in a variety of expressive arts. She believes strongly in the healing power of creativity and integrates creativity into her healing approaches. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Kristy is a poet who creates poetry to connect with others so that we may heal in community. She is the founding editor of Bone to Brain: An International Journal of Poetry, Prose, Art, and Healing.
